    So, the other day Dan-O pulled up next to me and tell me I got no lights. No brakelights, no turn signals. After 174,500 miles, something is broken… Nope. Just a couple bulbs, again, just the kind of thing that happens every 140,000 miles. I gotta admit that I’m starting to realize this can’t go on forever. But I gotta tell ya, if this truck died tomorrow, I really couldn’t complain. This kind of mileage is usually reserved for a person across 2 or maybe 3 cars. I guess that’s why there are two more Dodge cars in the driveway....

    After the ‘Dakota Incident’ I was so mad that I thought I would just throw everything Dave Ramsey said out the window and buy a brand new truck. That would have been a genius move, drop $30k in a brand new truck that I was going to use as a daily driver…. Once sanity returned, I started thinking about what the best thing to do would be, and long story short I found this Durango. The pros: One owner, lady driven (seriously!) garage kept, non-smoker, and no kids. Then there’s this manilla folder in the passenger seat, and I ask...

    I spent a weekend towards the end of last summer working on the Dakota, taking apart the front end and top end to get it all cleaned up and do some routine maintenance while I was working on some other things, and once I got it all back together, it seemed like a completely new truck. It’s amazing to me that (a) I’ve never had any trouble with the Dakota, and (b) how slowly parts fade, so much so that as a daily driver you barely notice that 30k has ran out. Either way, I cleaned up the throttle body...
